New frequency: this site, redesigned
For a year this domain was a single screen: a name, three paragraphs and two links. It did the job, but it told instead of showing. This redesign is the jump from card to site: projects, talks, a blog and a hero that draws live radio signals.
The decisions
Astro, static, on Cloudflare Pages. The site compiles to plain HTML. No server, no database, no attack surface beyond the files being served.
A hand-rolled shader instead of a 3D library. The hero background is a WebGL2 fragment shader a few dozen lines long: a spectrum waterfall, drifting carriers and an FFT band, the visual vocabulary of anyone who has ever used an SDR. Three.js would have cost 150+ KB to draw a rectangle.
Zero trackers, zero third parties. No request leaves this domain: no analytics, no external fonts, no CDN. Typography is whatever your system ships. What you read here tells no one anything.
Actually bilingual. Spanish at the root, English under /en/, with the
full hreflang pair and a toggle that remembers your choice.
The site’s code is on GitHub under the MIT license.
